New Years Parade in Chinatown

The sun finally came out today so we decided to go to the Chinese New Year Parade in Chinatown. The Yokohama Chinatown is the biggest one in Asia and my favorite of the few I’ve managed to visit, that being the Los Angeles and Chicago ones.

I love all the lanterns, decorations, firecrackers, and everything that goes along with traditional Chinese culture, which explains my trips to Taipei and Hong Kong this past year. Hopefully, I’ll make it to the mainland sometime in the future.

We got ourselves some all you can eat Cantonese food and walked right out of the restaurant into a prime parade viewing spot.
