“In the beginning, the noble caste was always the barbarian caste: their predominance did not lie mainly in physical strength but in strength of spirit. They were more whole human beings – which also means, at every level, more whole beasts-. Nietzsche, Beyond Good and Evil.

As far back as he can remember Alexandru has always been intrigued and fascinated by the savage and mysterious. The dark and mystical side, the secret and the violent, the wild and unknown. Dark wizards wielding evil magic, barbarian savages fighting serpentine horrors. Soldiers heroically going over the edge straight into enemy fire. Honor, Heroism, and Determination. This is the essence he hopes to capture in his fiction.

Alexandru Constantin was born in Bucharest, Romania but grew up in Southern California. After spending most of his time bumming around bars and coffee shops he decided to join the U.S. Navy where he spent many years providing medical care, in and out of combat, for the USMC. After completing a combat tour in support of Operation Enduring Freedom he proudly became a U.S. citizen and continues to serve his country as a Independent Duty Corpsman. When he is not taking care of Marines and Sailors or adventuring with his amazing wife, he writes Science Fiction and Fantasy.

  1. Sir, I feel like we have to know each other but my memory is terrible. I remember reading your post on Cirsova #3 (which has a story of mine in it), and I am thrilled to see you’ve “liked” my cover reveal (though that cover is about to change… again…), but now that I’ve read your bio, I think we have to know each other outside of reading and writing. I’m a Navy nurse, currently in Yokosuka, formerly a corps school instructor, formally of Camp Pendleton. Have we met before??

Spew your nonsense
